Lisa Marie Presley sold her home months after son’s suicide

Just three months after Lisa Marie Presley bought a house in Calabasas, California, her son, Benjamin Keough, took his own life inside.

A source told The Post that Elvis Presley’s only daughter was “never the same again” after that tragic day.

“Her world has really come to a halt over the years and she has done everything she can to deal with it so she can be there for the rest of her children,” the source added.

A different insider told the Post at the time that Presley was devastated: “She couldn’t set foot inside the house.”

On December 29, 2020, five months after his son’s death, Presley sold the house for $2 million.

Occupying over 5,400 sq ft, the property is located in the guard-gated Calabasas Park Estate.

The home has city and mountain views along with a pool and spa. The family room comes with a fireplace, built-in bookcases and a wet bar, the previous listing notes. The primary bedroom has a large walk-in closet, dual sinks, a separate shower, and a Jacuzzi tub.

Keough was found unresponsive in an upstairs bathroom by his girlfriend, Diana Pinto, during his birthday party. Emergency personnel arrived, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the autopsy report, she had attempted suicide six months earlier by “abusing alcohol and cocaine”.

Lisa’s manager, Roger Widnowski, told The Post that following her son’s unexpected death, “she is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and devastated but for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter, Riley.” Trying to stay strong. She loved that boy. He was the love of her life.

In her final Instagram post — a now-chilling upload from this past August — Lisa Marie wrote about her “sadness” over her son, who she shares with musician Danny Keough.

“In honor of this being National Grief Awareness Day, I wrote an essay about grief that was posted today on @people,” his post said. “I thought I’d post this here in the hopes that it helps in some way to whoever needs to hear all this.”

I’m sharing my thoughts in the hopes that somehow, we can change this,” she said in the essay. “Grief does not in any sense stop or go away. Grief is something that you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, despite what some people or our culture would like us to believe. You don’t ‘get over it’, you don’t ‘move on’ period.
