Julia Fox admitted on TikTok that she prefers living in her self-described “tiny” Manhattan apartment that’s infested with rats because she doesn’t like “excessive displays of wealth.”

“I never in a million years thought I would do this, but I believe in maximum transparency and that’s why I’m going to give you guys an apartment tour,” Fox says. “I know I’m going to get roasted. And whatever, but hopefully someone can see it and be like ‘Maybe I’m not doing so bad.’

First she moves the fan to the living room, which she then converts into her bedroom. She says she used her tiny bedroom as a playroom for her son, Valentino, who she welcomed last February with her ex.

Fox then looks at a mirror on the wall, which contains photographs dedicated to her loved ones who have passed away.

“This is my nostalgia mirror. This is Valentino when he was born. That’s my friend Harmony who passed away. It is my friend Jana who passed away,” she says.

Fox then proceeds to show a pile of shoe boxes in the kitchen, saying it is “very common for New Yorkers.”

“I think I put the most effort into this room. I really wanted him to have a cute room,” Fox explains in the video. “However, he doesn’t hang around here at all. He wants to stay in mother’s room. He doesn’t even like to sleep there. He sleeps on the bed with me. Yes we are co sleepers. Sue me. I do not care.”

“I appreciate that they clean up the crumbs my son dropped on the floor at night while he’s sleeping. So yeah, I’m not going to be evicting the rats any time soon.
