“You walk in and immediately you can see everything right in front of you,” Dark, who hails from Chicago, pointed to swns, “It’s overwhelming. You’re just standing there watching everything, not knowing what to do.
Dark, 27, shared the footage The superhero fanatic’s lair on TikTok last week, quickly racking up more than 26,000 views. He posted a long video on YouTubeBut did not disclose the location of the house.
“There were two feet of toys on the floor all the time, up to my knees, all over the house,” he explained. “I was shocked. It’s not like these things are junk.”
“Everything in the house is engulfed in toys, so everything the house used to be is no longer there,” he said.
Graphic novels line the floor and shelves, and Dark unearths vintage toys in mint condition, some still in their original packaging.


Dark claims that the owner of the two-story house was a toy store manager who died after an illness 15 years ago.
“there were ‘Star Wars’ figures, Superman, Spider-Man, anything that comes to your mind when it comes to comic book superheroes or collectibles. had it all in place,” he recalled. “There were many [items] to estimate. Even estimating a number at that point would be overwhelming, that’s all it’s left behind.
“I really don’t know how much it’s worth. Millions of dollars are likely to be left behind,” he shared, noting that “it clearly wasn’t about the money” for the previous resident.

He said it is “humbling”, then, “to be able to walk through someone’s life and learn something about them.”
“It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions because you first enter the house and you’re shocked by the number of things left behind,” he said. “And as you go around, you find out that the person who used to be here isn’t here anymore, and that’s a sad reality.”


The house is one of the sites that Darke has explored since starting his journey to uncover abandoned places in america about a decade ago. His latest discovery left TikTok commenters dismayed.

“It really saddens me to see a fellow collector’s collection like this,” agreed another.
A third confessed, “It was very difficult to watch the entire video, with all those unexpected collectibles now worth so much money.”
