The “Bullet Train” actor has put on the market a California compound he has owned for three decades.

The 59-year-old has been quietly searching for a buyer for the Los Angeles property she bought from Cassandra Peterson. better known as Elvira, Mistress of Darkness – in 1994, a source confirmed People’s, The A-lister reportedly spent $1.7 million on the property at the time, and later added several neighboring lots – creating a mega-estate with a skating rink, a tennis court and a swimming pool spread across 1.9 acres. PEOPLE reports he’s seeking around $40 million for his creation in the city’s Los Feliz neighborhood.

As he’s listing the mansion, the source said Pitt is “looking for something a little smaller” around LA.

While size is clearly the main issue, there are plenty of emotional reasons to part with the property: The sprawling abode is where Pitt and his ex-wife Jolie, 47, raised their six children – Maddox, 21 , Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 16, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 14. The once-iconic pair have been locked in a divorce battle on property and children since breaking up in 2016.
